Twitch recently revealed that Affiliates can expect a few exciting changes to their subscriber badges and revenue periods!
Custom Sub Badges
Just in time for the one-year anniversary of Affiliate sub buttons going live, you will be able to reward your long-time supporters with new custom Subscriber-only chat badges! Previously only available to Partners, Affiliates will be able to submit sub badges for standard, 3-month, 6-month, and 1-year subscribers to their channel. You will be able to submit your badges at the end of July when the feature is implemented!
If this will be anything like the process for Twitch Partners, the sub badges will not need to be approved before being active in a streamer’s chat room as the badges are not used globally like emotes are but are still required to meet Twitch’s Terms of Service and Community Guidelines.
Payout Period
Currently, Affiliates have a Net 60 payout period, meaning that payments will be distributed 60 days after the end of the month given that you have reached the $100 revenue threshold. Effective as of June 15th, Affiliates will be paid 15 days earlier as the payout period shifts to Net-45!
Note that the $100 revenue requirement has not changed. If you do not reach the $100 balance threshold, the funds will roll over to the next month until the requirement is met.
