Earlier this year, we put together a StreamerSquare team for St. Jude Play Live. Together, we helped raise over $11,000 in just a few weeks time and we are back at it again for Extra Life Game Day 2016. Extra Life is a charity that brings together thousands of players around the world for a 24 hour gaming marathon to support sick and injured children. Since 2008, Extra Life has raised more than $22 million for local Children’s Miracle Network hospitals.
Here’s How it Works:
Anyone can create a fundraising page on Extra Life’s website. From there, you can share it with friends, family, and streaming communities. Once you have built up your roster, you can participate in the 24 hour gaming marathon to help raise money for this amazing cause. This year’s gaming marathon will take place on Saturday, November 5th.
Join Our StreamerSquare Team
We are extremely excited to raise money for Extra Life and we want you to join! We will be promoting streamers in our team and using our Discord server to coordinate support for each other. This is a great opportunity to fundraise for a good cause and network with fellow streamers.
We encourage all streamers and friends to join our roster and help reach our goal of $1,000 on November 5th. Let’s take our love for gaming and use it to improve the lives of children.
About Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals
These 170 member hospitals help support and raise awareness of children with scary illnesses like cancer, cystic fibrosis, injuries from accidents, and more regardless of the family’s ability to pay. They provide $32 million worth of treatments per year to kids across the United States and Canada. Not to mention, your donations are tax-deductible and all proceeds go to helping these kids. It’s an amazing cause that definitely deserves your support.
