SplitmediaLabs, which owns one of the industry-leading broadcast software Xsplit Broadcaster, revealed that has acquired the popular overlay tool Strexm. With over 150,000 people already using Strexm to bring interactive animations and alerts onto their Twitch and YouTube Gaming livestreams, it is certainly one of the most popular live streaming tools in the market. Xsplit owners also acquired Stream Overlay Pro, which is a similar to Strexm but still under development. Strexm is very close to releasing their 2.0 version, that is supposed to be more efficient, dynamic, and flexible than any other overlay and alert tool out there.
If you use OBS– don’t worry. There are no plans to exclude OBS or other streaming software users for Strexm.
With these new tools under their sleeve, Xsplit can provide and develop popular features for livestreamers already using their service (over 8 million registered users).
