Understanding Discoverability

Discoverability refers to new potential viewers, followers, and fans being able to find you and your content on a platform. It is important to be aware of how discoverability works on any platform you’re creating on, if you care about growing. Otherwise, all of your efforts will just be going to waste. Discoverability Breakdown There are a lot of factors that go into discoverability. Streaming on Twitch in the middle of the U.S day is one of the most saturated times. This is when the most streamers are on and can make it harder for people to find your stream.    According to TwitchTracker, the number of live channels peak at 4pm and 10pm ET. Tweeting at night when most of your target audience is asleep can lead to lower engagement and thus lower discoverability. Streaming platforms usually slow down at the end of summer with kids on vacation and then going back to school. Be aware of the ‘when’ while you analyze how your content is performing and hone in on those peak days and times that work best for you and your target audience.
